Mathieu Van Der Poel Still Leads, Wout Creates Drama

All eyes (well, all American eyes) were on Nationals in Louisville this weekend, where Stephen Hyde showed that no injury—not even a broken sternum or sprained ankle—would be able to keep him down for long.

The muddy, mucky course was perfect for the technical rider, while teammate Curtis White showed that he's going to be a force to be reckoned with now that he's focusing on cyclocross season.

Will we see many of them in Europe? Yes, look for Hyde resplendent in his stars and stripes on the start line in Namur.

And in Europe, Wout's chances of maintaining his World Championship title are growing slimmer every day as Mathieu van der Poel's winning streak just won't be beat.

(Before we dive in, a reminder that the rankings are based on UCI ranking, racing trends this season, and plenty of subjective intel, wild speculation, Instagram Stories and industry gossip.)
