EF Education-Easy Post's Magnus Cort Nielsen moved to the top of the overall standings of Paris-Nice on Tuesday, despite Jumbo-Visma winning the team time trial on Stage 3 in central France.

The 77th Annual La Vuelta a España will begin this Friday, in Utrecht with a team time trial. This pancake-flat stage will kick off three-days in the Netherlands before circumventing the peloton make their way around Spain before the finale in Madrid.

Biniam Girmay of Eritrea won the prestigious Gent Wevelgem classic on Sunday, becoming the first sub-Saharan cyclist to win a one-day classic.

Dylan Groenewegen timed his sprint to perfection to win a mass dash to the line on stage three of cycling's Tour of Saudi Arabia on Thursday. British sprinter Dan McLay was second and Australia's Caleb Ewan came third as Colombia's Santiago Buitrago retained the overall lead by 3sec on Ewan. Ewan finished fastest but was coming from too far back to pounce for victory at the line.

Alpecin-Fenix's Jasper Philipsen won a classic mass bunch sprint on the second stage of the Vuelta a Espana onSunday, edging out Deceuninck Quick-Step's Fabio Jakobsen and Bike Exchange'sMichael Matthews.

The 2019 and 2020 editions of the Tour de France were won by two of the youngest riders in the history of the race. Tadej Pogacar and Egan Bernal are at the forefront of a new generation of young cyclists which are continually raising the bar and upsetting the established favorites. The 2021 Tour de France will be another battle between the dynamic youth and the experienced establishment.

Ecuadorian rider Richard Carapaz won stage five of the Tour de Suisse on Thursday to take the overall lead in the race at a summit finish at Leukerbad.

Marianne Vos collected one of the few titles she had not won when she claimed the women's Amstel Gold Race on Sunday. 

This Sunday, the Amstel Gold Race returns after its 2020 hiatus. While many eyes will be fixated on 2019 top finishers Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon // SRAM) and Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team), there are several riders with a shot at upsetting the two favorites. 

The cobbles are behind us, as the peloton prepares for the first of the Ardennes Classic races – Amstel Gold. 

Sunday marks the beginning of the beloved Ardennes Classics, with the return of the Amstel Gold race following the race's 2020 cancellation. 

The depth of the women's peloton has led to unpredictable and explosive racing during this year's spring classics. With the inaugural women's Paris-Roubaix postponed until October 2nd, all eyes turn to the Tour of Flanders this Sunday.

Multiple riders and staff have tested positive for COVID-19 the UCI and RCS Sport announced in a joint press release. The tests were the first round, conducted during the rest day, in addition to the multiple safety measures the Giro d’Italia have had in place since the depart in Sicily. Mitchelton-Scott was the worst hit, with several staff members returning positive tests after their GC hopeful, Simon Yates, tested positive several days into the first week. The team released a statement soon after.
