Gregor and Andrea recap stage 3 of the 2021 Tour de France, which was once again marred by significant crashes. They then preview tomorrow's sprint opportunity.

Geraint Thomas dislocated his shoulder early in today's stage, taking down multiple Ineos and Jumbo-Visma riders in the wreck. Robert Gesink was forced to abandon.

Primoz Roglic was then involved in a crash with 10 kilometers to go. The banged up GC favorite was quickly surrounded by his teammates, but with the race at fever pitch, the name of the game became limiting losses for the team in yellow.

With 4 kilometers to go, defending champion Tadej Pogacar was taken down in a high-speed incident in a fast left-hand bend. Then when a substantially reduced lead group arrived in the final kilometer, the most dramatic crash of the day occured.

Traveling over 80 km/h, Caleb Ewan crossed wheels in the final sprint, taking himself and Peter Sagan out of the race.
