The 2021 Tour of Flanders will see Julian Alaphilippe challenging his rivals Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert after he crashed into a motorcycle in the 2020 edition. Competing for Deceuninck-Quickstep, the current World Champion will be racing for his second Monument victory at De Ronde van Vlaanderen after winning Milano-Sanremo in 2019. The men race 255 starting in Antwerp. They will tackle many of the steepest cobbled climbs of the Flemish region before finishing in Oudenaarde.
Defending champion Mathieu Van Der Poel took to the startlist along with favorites Wout Van Aert and Julian Alaphilippe. Alaphilippe will be supported by teammates Florian Senechal and former second place finisher Kasper Asgreen. Greg Van Avermaet, Peter Sagan, Jasper Stuyven and Sep Vanmarcke are also favorites for the win.
