Stefan Küng has endured many close calls in time trials during his career, but he was able to pull off a memorable victory in Stage 18 of the Vuelta a España 2026.
The past European champion also has battled back from a fractured femur suffered in a crash earlier this season.
As soon as he rolled down the ramp Thursday, the commentators noted how well the course suited him, and they were right. He finished three seconds ahead of Callum Thornley to log the second Vuelta stage win of his career.
