Grand Tour Newcomer Matthew Brennan Gets Support From Star Teammates, Wins Stage 2 Of Vuelta a España 2026

With the help and support of his superstar teammates, Matthew Brennan of Team Visma | Lease a Bike was able to commemorate his Grand Tour debut with a victory in Stage 2 of the Vuelta a España 2026.
He was joined in setting up the performance by second-place rider Wout van Aert and 2023 La Vuelta champion Sepp Kuss.
Brennan also took hold of the white jersey as the best young rider, while Van Aert is second in the GC standings behind Tadej Pogačar.
