It’s another busy week in the cycling world, and one of the biggest races of the season is taking place in the Lombardy region of Italy.
Il Lombardia 2026 will be contested Oct. 10 and put an exclamation point on another thrilling year on two wheels.
Cycling fans in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will be able to catch every minute of the action on FloBikes and the FloSports app, beginning Saturday at 4:35 a.m. Eastern.

This prestigious one-day showdown is the crown jewel of the Italian autumn classics and the final Monument of the season.
This year’s race will be the 120th edition of the event, continuing a tradition that began in 1905 and has run almost completely interrupted, and there will be a new champion for the first time since 2020.
Why is that?
It’s because Slovenian superstar Tadej Pogačar, who won Il Lombardia five consecutive times from 2021-2025, will miss this year’s race while recovering from surgery.
Pogačar suffered a season-ending crash at the Vuelta España 2026 in August/September and will not be back to defend his title this week in Italy.
The field still is loaded with talent, including 2026 road race world champion Brandon McNulty, young French standout Paul Seixas and Belgian Remco Evenepoel, who finished second behind Pogačar in 2024 and 2025.

What Happened At Il Lombardia 2025?
At Il Lombardia 2025, Tadej Pogačar once again dominated the race and won for the fifth consecutive year. He finished the 241-kilometer ride nearly two minutes ahead of Remco Evenepoel and over three minutes in front of Great Britain’s Michael Storer.

Pogačar and Italian Fausto Coppi (1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1954) each own a record five victories at Il Lombardia, while Pogačar has won 13 Monuments overall.
He sits behind only Eddy Merckx on the all-time wins list. The Belgian champion won 19 Monuments in his career, including two victories at Il Lombardia.
