From June 16-21, the globe's soccer stars will share the spotlight with hopeful cyclists from the United States who will be fighting for coveted titles at the 2026 USA Cycling Professional Road National Championships, presented by Spilman Thomas & Battle.

This is the third consecutive year Charleston is playing host, and the area is so cycling-centric that the city is officially known as Bike City USA.
Haddad Riverfront Park once again will be the backdrop for all the action, so any returning athletes will be comfortable and familiar with the area and the park.
The two days of broadcasts on FloBikes – June 18 and June 21 – will include the criterium and road race for both the Elite Women and Elite Men.

More About The 2026 Pro Road National Championships
Though not everything will be broadcast live on FloBikes, this year’s festivities will include individual time trials, criteriums and road races for each category – Junior Men, Junior Women, U23 Men, U23 Women, Men Elite and Women Elite.

With the Summer Olympics headed to Los Angeles in 2028, the pressure and excitement will be even greater for the athletes looking to find Olympic glory down the road, while enjoying the immediate satisfaction of wearing the stars and stripes jersey awarded to all national champions.
Junior competitors in Charleston must be 17 or 18 years old, riders in the U23 category can be 19-22 and athletes must be 19 or old to compete in the Elite races.
The Pro Road National Championships has been held in its current form since 1985 and previously was open to riders of all nationalities, with the top American being named the national champion. Since 2006, however, it has been limited to athletes from the United States who meet the criteria found here.
The Pro Road National Championships made its debut in Charleston in 2024 after a six-year run in Knoxville, Tennessee.
