Stage 16: Giro d’Italia 2025
All of the tired legs are back from the last of this year's three rest days, but what awaits is the hardest stage of the Giro d'Italia 2025, a 203-kilometer ride from Piazzola sul Brenta to San Valentino (Brentonico) that race organizers gave 5/5 stars for difficulty.
This is the most mountainous of mountain stages, with 150 kilometers of relentless climbs and descents. There are four categorized climbs - 2-1-1-1. It's hard to find a stage tougher than that.

Who Won Stage 16 Of The Giro d’Italia In 2024?
For the second consecutive stage, and fifth overall, Tadej Pogacar was the first to cross the finish line in Stage 16 of the Giro d'Italia 2024. It was the second time on the year he won back-to-back stages on his way to six in all, plus the GC title.
This one was wild, though, as the start of the stage was delayed because the riders were protesting the weather conditions on the route. The 202-kilometer day was shortened to 118 kilometers to avoid racing in the snow.
There simply was no one at the original start line at the original start time.
Pogacar finished ahead of Giulio Pellizzari, Daniel Martinez, Christian Scaroni and Antonio Tiberi.
