Americans Matteo Jorgenson, and Brandon McNulty are both sitting in the top ten on general classification after stage five of the 2021 Paris-Nice.

George Bennett took a worrisome hit to the head on stage two. Even more worrisome was seeing him get back on his bike without undergoing a the UCI's concussion protocol. After filming this show, news broke that Tao Geoghegan Hart withdrew from the race after suffering a hit to the head on stage four. Bennett defends his actions in this video.
