A minor crash in the peloton on stage 4 of Vuelta a Burgos led the peloton to call a truce until 3 kilometers to go.

Stage 1 of the Vuelta a Burgos was marred by crashes, with Sebastian Henao and Gijs Leemreize both sustaining serious injuries. The Vuelta a Burgos is the first race in nearly five months for many of these riders. While Burgos represents an important and potentially rare opportunity for the peloton to race in 2020, star riders can not afford to injure themselves with every remaining race scheduled to take place over the next three months.

After this tangle up in the peloton, the WorldTour teams called a truce and rode at a conservative pace until the sprinter's teams opened the race up again with three kilometers to go.
