Sprint To The Basilica: Riding The Giro's Punishing First Stage
The 2019 Giro d’Italia starts with a short but challenging 8.2km time trial. Stage one finishes at the summit of the Basilica di San Luca finishes, a 1.2km climb with pitches as steep as 19 percent in gradient.
