Before Mads Pedersen won the 2019 UCI Road Race World Championships, he was best known for his stunning second place finish at the 2018 Tour of Flanders. In that race, he was a lone survivor from the breakaway, and held off Peter Sagan and a chase group of WorldTour stars. 

In this exclusive interview, we talk to Pedersen about how he came to bike racing and his ascension in the sport, his breakout ride at Flanders, and the team's struggles at the 2019 classics.
