Jackson Goldstone Wins Second Straight Downhill Title At UCI MTB World Championships

Canada’s Jackson Goldstone arrived in Italy as the defending downhill champion at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, and he was able to claim a second consecutive rainbow jersey in the event Aug. 29 in Val di Sole.

Goldstone conquered the infamous Black Snake, a downhill track that includes one of the sport’s most technical descents, and he did so with no time to spare.

He finished the run in 3:28.785, while Lachlan Stevens-McNab of New Zealand came up less than one second short of the gold medal (3:29.480). Great Britain’s Jordan Williams was third in the Men Elite – Downhill with a time of 3:29.487.
