2018 International Cyclocross Rankings

Brand Moves Is Head Of The Class, But Sanne Is Rising

After two World Cups plus several races between Christmas and New Year's, it'sbeen a hectic two weeks of racing for those over in Belgium—including an influx of North American racers, both men and women.

From Waaslandcross to World Cups Namur and Zolder, DVV Verzekeringen Trofee races Azencross and GP Sven Nys, to Cyclocross Bredene and Telenet Superprestige Diegem, the racing has been fun to watch with true Belgian CX conditions: Cold, muddy and rainy.

Lucinda Brand showed that a roadie can still take muddy corners like a boss with her win in Namur, but Sanne Cant is also ticking off race wins, including Diegem. Loes Sels is consistently on the podium, and Denise Betsema has had an on-and-off set of races.

(Before we dive in, a reminder that the rankings are based on UCI ranking, racing trends this season, and plenty of subjective intel, wild speculation, Instagram Stories and industry gossip.)
