The Cobbled Classics are in full swing, coming thick and fast in Belgium. Ghent-Wevelgem will be crucial in the week leading to the Tour of Flanders, and a week after, Paris-Roubaix.

The classics are here, starting with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday in Belgium. The first big one-day race of the 2023 calendar for both men and women that starts a run-up to the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.

The Ronde van Vlaanderen, or Tour of Flanders arrives this Sunday, April 3rd. The women's and men's WorldTour pelotons will take on the famous cobbled bergs of the Flemish region while raucous Belgian fans line the undulating countryside roads.

Biniam Girmay of Eritrea won the prestigious Gent Wevelgem classic on Sunday, becoming the first sub-Saharan cyclist to win a one-day classic.

The Ronde van Vlaanderen, or Tour of Flanders, is one of five monuments of cycling, and in 2022, the women’s edition is getting even bigger.

The first one-day race of the season takes to the southern coast of Australia this weekend, with the women racing 121 kilometers on Saturday and the men tackling 171 on Sunday. 

This January, like every January for the past 12 years, the world's best cyclists have descended upon Australia for the UCI WorldTour season opener, the Tour Down Under.
