The Belgians Are Coming: Jingle Cross World Cup Entries

Cyclocross men’s elite world champion Wout Van Aert of Belgium headlines a strong field of racers scheduled to compete in Iowa City’s Jingle Cross on Sunday. Jingle Cross will serve as the official start to the UCI cyclocross World Cup season. Dutch racer Mathieu Van Der Poel and Kevin Pauwels from Belgium, who finished second and third respectively at last season’s world championships, will join Van Aert on the start line in Iowa City.

In the elite women’s race, world champion Sanne Cant of Belgium will join American Katie Compton and Katerina Nash of the Czech Republic. The women’s field will also feature Canadian Maghalie Rochette, who placed fifth at last season’s world championships, and American Kaitlin Keough, a top-10 finisher at worlds.
