Since the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships is being held in Italy, fans in the United States and Canada might have to endure some late nights or early mornings, but based on the storied history of the competition since its inaugural edition in 1990, it’ll be well-worth an extra cup of coffee or two.
The event will take place Aug. 26-30, and all of the action from Val di Sole – or the Sole Valley in Trentino, Italy – and three full days of action will be broadcast live on FloBikes and the FloSports app for subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Val di Sole is playing host for the fourth time and previously hosted the UCI MTB World Championships in 2008, 2016 and 2021.
Athletes will compete in five disciplines, further divided by age and gender, with the winner in each taking home a coveted rainbow jersey that traditionally gets worn at all competitions until the next MTB World Championships.
The top three finishers in each category will take home gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The five categories are: Cross-Country Olympic (XCO), Cross-Country Team Relay (XCR), Cross-Country Short Track (XCC), Downhill (DHI) and Electric-MTB.
Check out the course map for each discipline here.
FloBikes coverage will include a variety of events for the Elite men and women and the U23 categories on Aug. 27, 29 and 30. See the broadcast schedule and the complete schedule below.
The Mountain Bike World Championships won’t be the only event taking place over the final days of August, so cycling fans will have many hours to watch their favorite athletes across multiple race types.
While the top mountain bikers in the world are riding around the Val di Sole Village and facing iconic challenges like “Black Snake,” a downhill track that includes of the sport’s most technical descents, the best road racers will be battle in the first of three weeks at the Vuelta a España 2026.
La Vuelta is the last of the year’s three Grand Tours, and the profile of the race grew considerably recently when five-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar announced that he’d be at the starting line in Monaco on Aug. 22.
Pogačar is just a few weeks removed from a historic win at the Tour de France 2026, his third consecutive and record-tying fifth victory overall, and he’ll now aim to become the ninth rider in history to win all three Grand Tours at least once.
La Vuelta will take place Aug. 22 to Sept. 13 and cover nearly 3,300 kilometers, from Monaco, into France and Andorra, and then across Spain.
Fans in Canada can watch La Vuelta on FloBikes and the FloSports app, but those in the United States will have to flip over to Peacock to see how things unfold.
The other Grand Tour is the Giro d’Italia, won in May by Jonas Vingegaard. Pogačar won the Giro in 2024 and claimed the yellow jersey at the TDF in 2020, 2021, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Though the official entry list for the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships has not yet been revealed, countries are beginning to announce who will be representing them in Italy.
While we wait for more details from the other participating nations, here’s a look at the schedule for the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships:
