Antelope BMX in Syracuse, UT played host to the 2026 USA BMX Great Salt Lake Nationals this weekend, marking the first time a National Series event has ever been held at the track.
Riders from across the country, and beyond, descended on the Utah facility for a weekend of high-stakes racing, and the freshman venue delivered plenty of drama across the ABA Futures and Pro ranks.
Fresh Faces Break Through in ABA Futures
It was a breakthrough weekend in the ABA Futures ranks, where Kira Boustead claimed her first-ever win in ABA Futures Women racing, topping a field of 9 riders through a hot day under the Utah sun.
On the men's side, Cutter "Cutterfly" Godaire matched the feat, taking the top step for the first time in Futures Men after working through a stacked 24-rider class. Both wins mark significant milestones for two riders who have been knocking on the door all season and this weekend, they broke through.
Canada back to the Top of the Podium
The Pro ranks saw some familiar faces make a statement after their trip to the World Championships. Molly Simpson returned from Worlds and picked up right where she left off, topping the Women Pro field. She was joined on the podium by Daleny Vaughn and Lauren Reynolds, both of whom also carried their World Championship form straight into strong finishes here.
With all three Worlds competitors landing on the box, it was a clear sign that the international stage is translating directly into the USA BMX Pro results.
Kam Larsen Holds Off a Hard-Charging Wood
The Men Pro class delivered the tightest finish of the day, as Kam Larsen had to fend off a late surge from Cam "Cowboy" Wood to secure the win. Wood pushed hard down the stretch, closing the gap and putting pressure on Larsen all the way to the line, but Larsen held firm to cross first and keep his win intact, a reminder that nothing is safe until the checkered flag in this class.
