The 2026 Tour de France will begin on Saturday, July 4, with the Grand Départ in Barcelona and conclude on Sunday, July 26, when the race returns to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. 

The 113th edition spans 21 stages across 23 days, with two scheduled rest days on July 13 and July 20.

The route covers 3,320.7 kilometers and includes four flat stages, seven hilly stages, eight mountain stages, one individual time trial and one team time trial. Riders will tackle 30 classified climbs or summit finishes, with the Col du Galibier serving as the race's highest point at 2,642 meters.

After opening weekend racing in Spain, the Tour heads into France, crossing the Pyrenees, Massif Central, Vosges, Jura and Alps before finishing in Paris. Stage 19 features a climb to Alpe d'Huez, while Stage 20 begins in Le Bourg d'Oisans and also finishes atop the iconic Alpine ascent, setting up a dramatic final mountain weekend.

The final stage on July 26 runs from Thoiry to the Champs-Élysées, capping a route that visits 37 stage sites and host cities, including 10 making their Tour debut. With challenging mountain terrain, two time trials and a traditional Paris finale, the 2026 Tour promises three weeks of varied racing from start to finish.
