Anders Foldager delivered the biggest win of his career on Friday, sprinting to victory at Brabantse Pijl in Overijse.

The 24-year-old Dane from Team Jayco AlUla proved strongest in the uphill finish, beating Quinten Hermans and Benoît Cosnefroy to the line.

Foldager timed his effort perfectly after a patient ride, capitalizing on the selective finale to secure just the second victory of his professional career.

"I knew this was the perfect race for me," Foldager said.

"It is by far my biggest win, so yeah, I surprised myself... it proves to the team and myself that I have the level to be at the top of these races."

The victory follows his first professional win at the Tour of Slovakia in 2024 and marks a major step forward for the Danish rider.

Foldager also succeeds Remco Evenepoel on the race's roll of honour, underlining the significance of the result.
