Remco Evenepoel will skip the cobbled Paris-Roubaix one-day race this Sunday and instead focus on Liège-Bastogne-Liège later this month.

Remco Evenepoel Prioritizes Ardennes Classics

The Belgian rider had hinted after his strong third-place finish at the Tour of Flanders that he could consider lining up at Paris-Roubaix.

However, his Red Bull team confirmed on Monday that he will stick to his original plan and target Liège-Bastogne-Liège, scheduled for April 27.

"Remco will stay focused on the Ardennes, as planned," a team spokesperson told Belgian television channel Sporza.

"After his impressive debut at the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix is a goal we can consider together in the coming years. But for now, we are sticking to our plan."

Evenepoel had previously said Paris-Roubaix was not part of his schedule but did not completely rule out racing it.

"I'm leaving the door open, but I think others have already closed it," he said.
