Tom Pidcock Smashes Superga To Win Milano-Torino 2026
Tom Pidcock wins Milano-Torino 2026 with a late attack on Superga, beating Tobias Johannessen and Primoz Roglic.

Tom Pidcock made a promise at the start line. He knew this finish suited him perfectly. And he absolutely delivered.
The British star won the 107th edition of Milano-Torino in spectacular fashion. He launched a blistering attack with just 600 meters to go. No one could match his acceleration on the brutal slopes of Superga.
He knew exactly who his biggest threat was on that final climb. "Primoz is hard to read," Pidcock noted. "He is on the saddle all the time. I was expecting him to be good there. I hesitated to attack but eventually I did and the timing was right."
It was a grinding battle to get to that point. "It was a weird day," Pidcock said after the finish. "It felt almost like the first race of the season. I felt the accelerations in the legs all day. Luckily in the end I had what I needed for winning. A win is a win. No win is easy to come by so it is nice to get this one."
Pidcock has now sent a strong warning ahead of Milano-Sanremo 2026 on Saturday.
Tom Pidcock Versus Primoz Roglic
The peloton set a crazy pace from the gun. A small breakaway tried to escape early on. But the big teams were not having it. They kept the gap tight and saved their energy for the finale.
The real fireworks started on the first trip up the Superga climb.
Primoz Roglic decided it was time to test everyone's legs. He launched a vicious acceleration just one kilometer from the top. That move sent a massive shockwave through the peloton.
Roglic dragged a very elite group with him. Pidcock was right there on his wheel. The leading group completely splintered on the tricky descent. Only about a dozen riders survived at the front of the race.
The tension was incredibly high on the final five kilometers of climbing. The top favorites started watching each other way too closely.
That hesitation was exactly what Pidcock needed. The tactical games slowed the group down. Pidcock seized the moment and exploded off the front.
He instantly gained a gap. The rest of the group scrambled to react but it was far too late. Pidcock held his advantage all the way to the finish line.
Tobias Johannessen crossed the line to grab second place. Roglic put up a massive fight all day to force the key selections and ultimately rounded out the podium in third.
