Dorian Godon Wins Shortened Paris-Nice 2026 Stage 7
Dorian Godon won the shortened Paris-Nice stage seven sprint while Jonas Vingegaard kept a commanding overall race lead.

Dorian Godon sprinted to victory on stage seven of Paris-Nice on Saturday after severe weather forced organizers to drastically shorten the penultimate stage.
The INEOS Grenadiers rider won the sprint finish ahead of Eritrean rider Biniam Girmay and Dutchman Cees Bol after a race of just 47 kilometers.
The stage had originally been planned as the queen stage of the race, but heavy snowfall near the 1,600 meter summit forced organizers to remove the decisive climb on Friday evening.
Persistent rain in Nice on Saturday morning then led organizers to cancel the opening sector of the route as well.
The peloton ultimately raced a short loop in the Nice region, completing barely an hour of racing while wrapped in rain gear despite the Riviera normally enjoying mild conditions at this time of year.
Jonas Vingegaard Remains In Control Of Paris-Nice
Despite the shortened stage, Jonas Vingegaard maintained a commanding lead in the overall classification heading into the final stage.
The two-time Tour de France winner holds a 3 minutes 22 seconds advantage over Colombian rider Daniel Martinez.
Godon's victory also marked the first French stage win of this 84th edition of the Race to the Sun.
The race concludes Sunday with the traditional final stage finishing in Nice.
