Juan Ayuso Leads Tight General Classification Battle
Ayuso took the yellow jersey from American Luke Lamperti thanks to four bonus seconds he gained in Monday's intermediate sprint.
The Spaniard ended the day two seconds ahead of Vauquelin and three seconds clear of Onley, who climbed from 63rd overall after the team effort.
Stage four will be a 195km route from Bourges to Uchon with an uphill finale marking the first summit finish of this year's "Race to the Sun," which concludes Sunday in Nice.
