Remco Evenepoel will leave Soudal–QuickStep at the end of the 2025 season and join Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe, both teams confirmed on Tuesday. The high-profile transfer ends months of speculation about the Olympic champion’s future.

Evenepoel negotiated an early release from his contract, which had been set to run through 2026. Soudal–QuickStep stated that his representatives informed team management he would not extend the agreement, prompting an eventual decision to part ways.

Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe’s Ambitious Vision

Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe called the signing the beginning of “a new chapter,” with team boss Ralph Denk praising Evenepoel’s ambition and leadership qualities. At 25, the Belgian star is already a world champion, Monument winner, Grand Tour champion, and the sport’s top time trialist.

His arrival bolsters a growing powerhouse at Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe, where he’ll join Primož Roglič and Florian Lipowitz in a leadership trio. Evenepoel will serve as the team’s marquee rider as they aim to become one of cycling’s dominant WorldTour squads.
