Stage 6 of the Tour de France 2025 offered a career highlight for Ireland's Ben Healy, who rode free from an eight-rider breakaway and never looked back, going solo for more than 42 kilometers to claim his first stage win at the Tour de France.

Healy also became the seventh Irishman to win a stage of the storied TDF as he crossed the line 2 minutes, 44 seconds ahead of Quinn Simmons.

Stage 7 on Friday will be just a few kilometers shorter than Thursday's 201.5-kilometer journey and will feature fewer meters of climbing.

Michael Storer was third in Stage 6, finishing 2 minutes, 51 seconds behind Healy. Storer was followed by Eddie Dunbar (3:21) and Simon Yates (3:24).

In the overall standings, Mathieu van der Poel picked up almost a minute and a half on overnight leader Tadej Pogacar and reclaimed the yellow jersey by one second.

Remco Evenepoel is third, 43 seconds off the lead, and followed by local star Kevin Vauquelin (one minute) and two-time TDF winner Jonas Vingegaard (1:14).

For viewers in Canada, FloBikes coverage of Stage 7 will begin at 6 a.m. Eastern and is expected to conclude around 11:30 a.m. EDT.

Stage 7: Tour de France 2025

Stage 7 of the Tour de France 2025 is expected to challenge the riders in many ways.

There will be gusty winds along the coast, winding roads and three categorized climbs late in the 197-kilometer ride from Saint-Malo to the Mûr-de-Bretagne.

The final climb into the finish is 2 kilometers long, averaging a 6.9% gradient that goes as high as 10%.

The Mûr-de-Bretagne first featured in the Tour de France in 2011, and the race returned in 2015 and 2018.

The day will be tough, but experts expect it to be a little easier than what the riders experienced in Stage 6.

Saint Malo appeared on the route map in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and the most recent opportunity for the riders to see the coastal town was a dozen years ago.
