Tour de France 2025 Stage 5 Preview: First Of Two Time Trials
Wednesday's Stage 5 will be the first of the two time trials at the Tour de France 2025, and the route will allow the TT specialists to shine.

Stage 4 of the Tour de France 2025 will be remembered for many reasons.
Among them, is the significance it served in the career of three-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar, who won the stage for his 100th professional victory.
While the Slovenian was claiming yet another spot in the cycling record both, once again just ahead of rival Jonas Vingegaard, overall leader Mathieu van der Poel settled between them.

Well-rounded, but maybe not known as the best climber in the sport, Van der Poel held his own on the up-and-down 174.2-kilometer stage to keep the yellow leader's jersey for another day, though he and Pogacar are tied on time, with Vingegaard eight seconds back.
Wednesday's Stage 5 will be the first of the year's two time trials, and the route will allow the TT specialists to shine.
It's likely that Van der Poel will not be wearing yellow at the end of the day, but crazier things have happened at the TDF. He certainly will do all he can along the 33-kilometer journey, but there will be many strong time trialers gunning for glory.
For viewers in Canada, FloBikes coverage of Stage 5 will begin at 7 a.m. Eastern and is expected to conclude around 12:10 p.m. EDT.
