Day two of the 2025 USA BMX Spring Nationals in Albuquerque didn’t disappoint, delivering high-speed action and storylines to match under the New Mexico sun. With perfect track conditions and packed grandstands, Saturday’s mains brought the heat from the gate to the finish line.
Cameron Wood continued to assert dominance in the Men Pro class, grabbing his second win of the weekend with a blistering first straight. Wood’s consistency and power are setting the tone early in the 2025 Pro Series, proving he’s a threat for the back to back National Title.
In Women Pro, Daleny Vaughn once again held off a hungry pack of top-tier talent, securing back-to-back wins in Albuquerque. Vaughn’s combination of technical smoothness and first straight snap reminded fans of the Vaughn we saw at the end of 2024.
ABA Futures Heats Up
The ABA Futures class continued to thrill with two of the brightest young stars on display. Ethan Popovich and Derin Merten each made it two-for-two in the ultra-competitive division, turning heads with race craft that goes well beyond their years. The future of USA BMX is in good hands, and fans are here for it.
Nic Long Returns to the Top Step
Vet Pro saw a big shake-up as Nic Long claimed his first main event win of the season. After battling through stacked motos, Long put together a vintage performance in the main, reminding everyone why he's one of the most electrifying riders in BMX history. The roar from the crowd said it all—The Captain is back.
