The USA BMX Pro Series season begins March 28 and brings its exciting, adrenaline-fueled action to FloBikes in 2025.

The multi-year agreement between USA BMX and FloSports will include raceday broadcasts of the series’ biggest events.

USA BMX, which was established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977, features 12 Pro Series events on FloBikes, including the Race of Champions and Grand Nationals in November.

The first event coming to FloBikes is the Carolina Nationals at the Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on March 28. That event will be streamed for free on YouTube and Facebook.

"We are beyond excited to partner with FloSports to elevate the coverage of BMX racing," said BA Anderson, CEO of USA BMX, in a press release. "This partnership allows us to showcase the incredible talent and heart of our athletes to a broader audience, and we're confident it will inspire both our current fans and the next wave of BMX racers."

USA BMX was formed in 2011 when the ABA, the governing body of BMX, joined with the National Bicycle League. Together with BMX Canada, USA BMX has made it a goal to grow the sport. And that growth continues by partnering with FloSports and FloBikes.

“The USA BMX Pro Series is the home to exhilarating BMX events and some of the best athletes in the sport,” said Chris Keldorf, Senior Director, Global Rights Acquisition for FloSports. “Its addition to our FloBikes portfolio provides cycling fans an attractive destination for all their racing passions.”

In addition to live race coverage, FloBikes subscribers will enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes content, rider interviews and expert analysis, giving fans a deeper look into what it takes to succeed in BMX racing, along with more than 1,000 cycling events on the platform.

The final events of the season are the Race of Champions and the Grand Nationals. The Race of Champions is an invitation-only event that features riders from the United States and Canada. The Grand Nationals, “The Greatest Race on Earth,” is open to all members and is the crescendo to the season. Both events will be at the Sagenet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

And it’s all being streamed live! Don’t miss all the USA BMX action in 2025 on FloBikes and the FloSports app.

About USA BMX

Established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ABA is the nation’s largest cycling organization with more than 70,000 members with combined racing and freestyle events at more than 300 sanctioned BMX tracks across the United States and Canada. ABA empowers and elevates the early stages of bicycle development by creating opportunities through facility development, programs, and national events. As a result, ABA has developed a structured blueprint. A cyclist can progress from humble beginnings on a balance bike to becoming a BMX Olympian by establishing these roots.

Through STEAM, scholarships, freestyle amateur events, the national series, the Olympics and new facilities built across the United States, these four pillars under the USA BMX organization will impact young riders and families: USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX Freestyle, USA BMX Racing and ABA Ethos.

What Is BMX?

BMX, or bicycle motocross, grew out of the late 1960s and early 1970s in California. Using what is believed to be modified 20” Schwinn Stingray bicycles, according to USA BMX, the early pioneers of the sport loved motorcycle racing, and that inspired the creation of BMX.

Helped by the success of the film “On Any Sunday” in 1971, BMX exploded in popularity. By the end of the decade, the American Bicycle Association was created and began organizing and sanctioning the sport.

When Did BMX Become An Olympic Sport?

In 2008, BMX racing became an Olympic sport and debuted at the Beijing Olympics. BMX freestyle was added in 2020.

The first Olympics to host BMX events was dominated by riders who competed in the ABA and NBL events, winning three Olympic medals
