This year's TDF will start in Lielle, France and finish at the world Paris Champs-Élysées.
Throughout the journey, riders will fight through each stage for the chance to cross the finish line wearing the coveted yellow jersey.

What Does It Mean To Wear The Yellow Jersey In The TDF
To wear the yellow jersey means that the rider is in the lead after one of the stages. It can also change each day or not change at all during the 21 stages and all depends on the scores. Every rider's goal is to have that jersey on, according to Brown
How Scoring Works At The Tour de France 2025
So we are not going to get too technical but we'll explain how the scoring works and how a rider wins the whole thing.
So obviously the riders want to complete the race in less time than their opponents. They also get bonus points that help add to their score Each day scores are compiled and the one with lowest combined time after 3 weeks of cycling is the winner of Tour De France, according to Brown.
