Dutch sprint ace Fabio Jakobsen, one of the fastest riders in the world, is leaving Soudal Quick-Step for DSM, his new team announced Friday.
Jakobsen, who has 43 victories during his career, has signed a three-year deal with the Dutch outfit.
The 26-year-old miraculously survived a horrific crash on the Tour of Poland in 2020, when he was placed in a medically-induced coma.
He won his first stage on the Tour de France last year.
This year, he retired before the start of the 12th stage, having failed to recover sufficiently after a fall at the start of the race
