Every year since 1903, the Tour de France hosts one of the most challenging and prestigious cycling races in the world. In the month of July, cyclists take on 21 stages scattered across Europe.

Upon crossing the final finish line at the traditional Champ-Elysées, the winner is typically wearing a yellow jersey. Perhaps the most iconic symbol of the Tour de France, the yellow jersey marks the leader of the general classifications.

Winning a Tour de France puts the cyclists' name in the history books as one of the best of the year. Jonas Vingegaard won the 2023 Tour de France, his second in a row.

The last back-to-back winner was Tadej Pogačar, who won in 2020 and 2021. It's rare feat only done by 12 other cyclists.

Winning the race more than one time could be one of the most impressive achievements a cyclist can conquer in their career.

Greg LeMond is the only recognized multi-time American Tour de France winner.

Alberto Contador would have been a three-time Tour winner, but his 2010 win was stripped due to doping.
