Vingegaard Tells Fans To Stay Back In Tour

After an intense day of racing with several memorable moments, Wout Poels secured his first ever stage win on the Tour de France. 

Wout Van Aert had the lead for most of stage 15 before being overtaken in an aggressive late move by Poels on July 16. 

The cyclist in the yellow jersey, Jonas Vingegaard, overtook Tadej Pogačar at the finish line, although nothing separated their overall time on the stage. Vingegaard still leads Pogačar by 10 seconds in the general classification. 

With Vingegaard's finish in stage 15, he has been able to maintain his overall lead in the Tour.

Wout Poels Wins In Alps, Vingegaard Retains 2023 Tour de France Lead

A common trend throughout the Tour has been the problems with motorbikes and fans being too close to the racers, inhibiting their abilities on the course. 

A big crash occurred on the day prior at stage 14 and stage 15 was no different.

Near the beginning of stage 15, a fan stuck his hand out hitting rider Sepp Kuss who then swerved and crashed, causing a domino affect. 

In total about 20 riders came crashing down off of their bikes as a result.
